Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge - Nevada

Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge protects ancient groundwater springs that bring waters of the Amargosa River to the surface. The springs and wetlands are home to the largest concentration of endemic species in North America. Visitors can glimpse endangered pupfish from along trails and encounter many species of birds that are passing. Stop by the Visitor Center for the latest information on closures and to view the great informative displays.
