Newberry National Volcanic Monument Visitor Map

Just southeast of Bend in Central Oregon, The Newberry National Volcanic Monument grants protective status to lands around Oregon's Newberry Volcano, a massive shield volcano with a collapsed caldera where two separate lakes formed. Interpretive trails throughout the monument highlight volcanic features including Lava Tubes. This map highlights the roads and trails of the park which offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Check with Deschutes National Forest for active closures of areas before visiting and recreation.gov to obtain permits for entering and touring Lava River Cave.
