Oregon Badlands Wilderness and Horse Ridge

The Oregon Badlands Wilderness Area east of Bend, Oregon contains over 50 miles of trail to explore on foot or horseback through a unique volcanic and juniper filled landscape. Nearby, Horse Ridge is a winter and early spring mountain bike destination with many routes of varying terrain. Note that Horse Ridge land managers are in the process of designating, decommissioning, and building more trails, so the system there is subject to change, routes will update after the completion or changes. For now, popular routes in use for biking and trail running are marked. This map notes the route of the Oregon Desert Trail through the Badlands Wilderness and beyond!
